Rack Space, Weight and Cable Capacity Calculators
Rack unit planning, raised floor loading and cable tray fill — the physical limits that decide what fits.
Physical constraints are the ones people check last and regret first. A cabinet can pass its rack-unit budget and still exceed the floor rating; a tray sized for Cat6 will not carry the same count of Cat6A, because area scales with the square of diameter. These calculators cover vertical space, weight distribution and cable capacity.
- Rack Unit (U) PlannerPlan rack elevations by U height: total used, free U remaining, and percentage utilisation with a reserved-space allowance.
- Floor Loading CalculatorCheck rack weight against raised-floor limits in kg/m² and lb/ft², including point load per caster.
- Cable Tray Fill CalculatorCalculate cable tray fill percentage from cable diameter and count, checked against the usual 40-50% fill guidance.
